    Day 1 Luang Prabang, Laos

    Note: For this trip you must arrive one night earlier in Luang Prabang, Laos. There are several daily flights from Bangkok

    Luang Prabang arrival, meet with your tour guide and transfer to your luxury resort and spa. short rest after take an orientation walk around this World Heritage-heritage town.

    Day 2 + 3 Luang Prabang (B)

    Rise at dawn to watch the monks collecting offerings of food from the locals in exchange for blessings, then visit the Royal Palace Museum and Wat Xiengthong. Continue on to Wat Visoun, led by a local Monk who will explain the architecture and history of the temple as well as discussing Buddhism and daily life. After, catch a boat to Pak Ou Temple caves and stop in local villages.

    Next, The morning is free for optional activities, such as visiting textile galleries, relaxing in one of the town’s cafes or visiting the Ethnology Museum. In the afternoon, we take an excursion to Kuang Sii waterfall.

    Day 4 Flight to Hanoi in Vietnam (B)

    Flight to Hanoi. Guided cyclo ride and orientation tour of the Old Quarter and enjoy lunch at traditional restaurant to chance to sample the local foods.

    Classic French colonial architecture, charming building and beautiful decor and a scenic location makes Hanoi a fantastic place to visit. Overnight stay in a luxury hotel in downtown Hanoi

    Day 5 + 6 Halong Bay Luxury Cruise & Stay (B-L-D)

    A private transfer will take us to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise in a traditional junk boat with a local guide. Explore the limestone caves around the magnificent bay, enjoy sumptuous local seafood and relax on deck with a cool drink while watching the passing scenery.

    Board a luxury junk boat that offers a unique way of navigating the lime karsts of Halong Bay with all the comforts of a motorized, floating hotel. The boat crew will prepare an included seafood lunch and dinner to feast on.

    All cabins are twin share and have an en-suite bathroom. The boat features an enclosed dining and sitting area and of course plenty of outside deck space to enjoy your beautiful surroundings.

    Next, Continue cruising around Halong Bay with an option to kayak before having an on board lunch and transferring back to Hanoi. Take the afternoon at leisure to visit local markets, shops and museums.

    Day 7 Ho Chi Minh city (B)

    Catch our flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam and take a thrilling cyclo tour of this bustling city. Wander the bustling aisles of this energetic market known for its abundance of dried and fresh produce, jewelry, textiles, liquor, and tobacco products. Be fancy (and efficient) and have a one-day suit made. Feel free to bargain!

    Day 8 Cu Chi Tunnels (B)

    Take a guided tour of the infamous Cu Chi tunnels, legendary for the vital part they played during the Vietnam War. Take a half day trip to the Cu Chi tunnels with a local guide. Allow some free time in the afternoon to visit or shopping. Try your hand bargaining at the Ben Thanh Market, hire a cyclo (cycle rickshaw) for sightseeing or take a boat ride on the Saigon river.

    Day 9 Phnom Penh, Cambodia (B)

    Flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Meet and assist with your tour guide, transfer to your luxury boutique hotel in Phnom Penh, after short rest, take a cyclo city tour along the waterfront and key city sights, with option to visit the famous Foreign Correspondents club for sunset drinks.

    Day 10 Phnom Penh sightseeing (B-D)

    Explore the dark side of Cambodian history at Choeng Ek Memorial, the site of the infamous Killing Fields that were the execution grounds for Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge during their reign from 1975-1979. We also visit Tuol Sleng prison, the notorious Khmer Rouge prison where thousands of Cambodians perished. This is a haunting look into history which serves to remind everyone that genocide must not be ignored, or those lost, forgotten.

    Day 11 Travel overland to Siem Reap (B-L)

    Drive to Siem Reap, Cambodia and take an orientation walk through the entertainment district and visit the exciting night market.

    Day 12 + 13 Angkor Wat temple discovery (B-D)

    Enjoy a tour of impressive ancient ruins with a local professional guide. Wake early to watch the sun rise over the magnificent Angkor Wat temple. Visit the enigmatic faces of Bayon within the walled city of Angkor Thom, and tour Ta Prohm , which is slowly being swallowed by the jungle.

    Next, We continue to explore the ancient capital and temple complex of Angkor, with option this afternoon to visit Angkor National Museum and Tonle Sap floating village. This evening, enjoy a performance at Phare, the Cambodian circus and social enterprise that provides training and gainful employment to Cambodian youth from difficult social and economic backgrounds. We also meet with one of the organizers who gives an overview of this incredible organization.

    Day 14 Siem Reap Departure (B)

    End of the South-East Asia National Geographic Journey. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
