The package kick off in Hanoi, experiencing its bustling streets, iconic train Street with a street food tour for those who want to dive into the local culture. Next, travel to Sapa to trek through stunning rice terraces, then continue to ethnic villages for an authentic cultural experience before visiting the vibrant Bac Ha colorful Market. Explore the hidden beauty of Hoang Su Phi, then venture into Ha Giang to discover its breathtaking mountain landscapes before cruising through the majestic Halong Bay.
Then take a 2 hours flight south to Ho Chi Minh City, then venture into the Mekong Delta for a glimpse of river life. This two-week journey is packed with culture, adventure, and unforgettable landscapes!
This 2 weeks adventure is suitable for first time travelers and those who want a trip that combines best of Vietnam plus Sapa and northern mountains.
Itinerary
- See Hanoi locally, travel north to Sapa, home to some of the most beautiful rice terraces in the region, take your time to watch locals in the farm
- Spend an overnight aboard the Halong Bay, knows by it’s emerald waters and towering limestones
- Journey to the lush Mekong Delta, the rice basket of Vietnam
- Get your bowl of noodle soup while enjoying the boat ride across the floating markets, thats a river life
Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi
Your holiday starts here, our tour manager and or guide, welcome you on arrival, then enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in the center of the capital, the Hanoi’s infamous old quarter, or around the French Quarter.
Note: Check in time is 14:00.
Day 2: Sightseeing Hanoi: Rickshaw, the Train Street, Foodie Tour
Your tour of Hanoi starts with a briefing about the capital city, your Hanoi local guide will be with you and follow the itinerary, you will be visiting following:
- Visit the famous Train Street and enjoy a cup of iconic egg coffee or your preferred drink while watching the trains pass by
- Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake before embarking on a cyclo tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter
- Pass Hanoi’s French colonial landmarks, including the Opera House and St. Joseph’s Cathedral
- Explore the hidden alleys and bustling local markets of the Old Quarter
- Sample a traditional Vietnamese dinner with your choice of Phở, Bún Chả, or Bún Bò
- End the evening at lively Ta Hien Beer Street, enjoying Hanoi’s vibrant nightlife with a local beer

Day 3: Travel to Sapa
Enjoy a leisure breakfast at your hotel before our car pick you up for a 6 hours ride up northwest to the pretty town of Sapa.
Once a small hill station, choose by French. Now, loved by tourists for its year round cool climate, rice terraces, magnificent mountain ranges and home to the colorfully attired ethnic minorities.
Arrive around the lunch time, or a little later in the afternoon, check in to your mountain retreat and enjoy the rest of the evening at your own.

Day 4: Light trek around Sapa's hamlets
Your time in Sapa is pretty much planned around your specific interests. You may visit Sapa town (a very small town), minority museum, a famous stone church and local markets, alternatively, we can plan a light trek around the town. Or choose both and your guide will combine them into one full day.
- Trek 4 miles (6 km) through the Sapa Valley, visiting ethnic minority villages
- Cross the Muong Hoa River and walk through scenic rice terraces to Lao Chai Village
- Continue to Ta Van Giay Village, crossing a suspension bridge and passing ancient rock engravings
- Enjoy lunch in a local home
- Trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai Village, with a stop at a waterfall

Day 5: Black Hmong minority visit
Another guided day exploring the remote villages surrounding Sapa, where mountain landscapes, ethnic minority communities, and traditional rural life offer a glimpse into northern Vietnam beyond the main trekking routes.
- Drive through the scenic O Quy Ho Mountain Pass, with stops overlooking Mount Fansipan and the Sin Chai Valley
- Visit Ban Khoang Commune and enjoy a guided walk through Black Hmong and Red Dao villages
- Continue to Ta Giang Phinh Valley for lunch by the river
- Take a two-hour walk through the valley, passing local farms, village markets, and traditional handicraft workshops before returning to Sapa in the afternoon

Day 6: Infamous Bac Ha Market & border towns
Continue north to Bac Ha, a small town surrounded by farming valleys and ethnic minority villages. Explore the countryside on foot before returning to town, with the chance to visit the famous Bac Ha Market if your visit falls on a Sunday.
- Drive to Bac Ha and check in to your hotel
- Enjoy a two-hour hike from Thai Giang Pho through vegetable gardens, cornfields, and rice terraces
- Return to Bac Ha after the hike
- On Sundays, visit Bac Ha Market, where the Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, and Nung communities gather to trade local goods and livestock

Day 7: Hoang Su Phi
Travel far north to Hoang Su Phi in the Ha Giang region, known for its deep river valleys, and jaw-dropping rice terraces. After checking in at your Lodge, head out to explore the surrounding villages.
- Trek to Nam Nghi Village and meet the Red Dao community
- Walk through the forest to viewpoints overlooking the valley and rice terraces
Return to the lodge after the hike

Day 8: Explore Hoang Su Phi
This day is active adventure for a full day trek around the valleys and local villages of Hoang Su Phi’s rice terraces.
Start the trek from Nam Hong to Khoa Thuong village, home to the Dao Ao Dai community. The walk takes you through streams, local corn fields and of course, the rice terraces, forests, waterfalls, and tiny villages. You’ll stop for a Vietnamese lunch at a local home before returning via a different route to Hoang Su Phi Lodge.
The evening ends with dinner and a Red Dao music performance.

Day 9: Travel on road to Ha Giang
Enjoy a leisure breakfast in the lap of nature. Then, hop on a private transfer to travel on road toward the Ha Giang.
Ha Giang is probably the most famous region in the north, known for its breathtaking limestone mountains, dramatic winding roads like the legendary Ha Giang Loop, and the UNESCO-recognized Dong Van Karst Plateau.
It offers travelers an authentic, rugged escape with deep valleys and vibrant indigenous cultures.
Arrive around the lunch time, check in to your hotel and or resort and enjoy the rest of teh day at your own.

Day 10: Halong via Ba Be
Your adventure takes you through some of the most dramatic mountain ranges you ever see. This morning we check out from Ha Giang and take the national roads toward Ba Be, the largest freshwater lake and a national park located in northeast of the country.
Arrive around lunch time, enjoy a break before heading toward Halong city where we stay one night in a premium hotel.
Arrive and if time permits, we enjoy a cable car ride above the Bay to the Sun World Complex.

Day 11 & 12: Halong cruise
Enjoy your morning till 11 am before taking a private transfer to check in the cruise.
Halong is probably one of the most dramatic attractions in the world. The Bay is famous for its thousands of limestone towering mountains raining across the ocean.
Board a traditional cruise ship on Halong Bay and cruise out into its tranquil scenery. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a vision of awe-inspiring beauty, it’s easy to see why it is one of Vietnam’s most popular destinations.
Enjoy excursions such as kayaking or exploring island caves before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 13: Delta of Mekong
Travel from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho for a day exploring the waterways and local life of the locals living on fishing and rice harvest around the region. Your excursion includes following;
- Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, cruise the Tien River, and pass Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands
- Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, visit a coconut candy workshop, and take a hand-rowed sampan through the canals
- Taste seasonal fruit and honey tea with Southern Vietnamese folk music before returning to Ho Chi Minh City

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City, Departure
We hope you enjoyed and experience Vietnam totally differently on this well planned on-road adventure. Seeing some of the Vietnam’s amazing landscapes along with the must see sites and cities all fitting into one amazing package.
Today we support another private transfer to the international airport in Saigon, preferably 4 hours before departure flight. Arrive home the next, or the same day.

Vietnam Visa
- Most travellers visiting Vietnam are eligible for an e-visa, while some nationalities may enjoy visa-free entry for a certain period. Visa requirements depend on nationality and length of stay.
- Once you enquire, Vietnamese Luxury Travel will provide clear and up-to-date visa guidance based on your passport details.
- Important: Your passport should be valid for at least six (6) months from your date of entry and have sufficient blank pages.
- We usually include visa assistance in our service, so you do not need to spend time arranging this yourself.
Meals
- Daily buffet breakfast is included in all carefully selected hotels.
- Any included lunch or dinner will be clearly mentioned in your itinerary and will feature local cuisine experiences.
- We can accommodate dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, Indian, and Western-style meals with advance notice.
- Special meal arrangements may involve additional costs depending on availability and location. Any extra charges will always be advised in advance.
Flights
- International flights to and from Vietnam are not included. Guests are encouraged to arrange their own international flights for maximum flexibility.
- Domestic flights are quoted separately once the trip is confirmed, as prices depend on availability and booking time.
- Alternatively, guests may arrange domestic flights independently if preferred.
- Tours can be designed to start from different cities depending on your international flight routing, including Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.
